DESCRIPTION of the festival: Salmonfest has become widely recognized both nationally and within the state as the most compelling and dynamic event in Alaska. We feel so lucky to have celebrated loudly and well with you on March 14th, which was our St. Patrick's Day gig at Humpy's where we partied the night away with good music, good food, and the best of company!
The following Monday all the bars & restaurants closed.
The band meets weekly via ZOOM. We are working on an audio recording accompanied by video! This should be fun! When we've finished you'll find it on our facebook page. We miss you! We love you! Stay safe. The music will rise once again.

Rogues & Wenches perform on the stage at APU from 4:30 PM – 5:10 PM
The Irish Club of Alaska will present Galway Days on August 10, 2019 at APU’s Grant Hall from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Festival goers can see some of Alaska’s most popular Irish and Irish American performers including The Irish Dance Academy of Alaska, The Derry Aires, Crooked Road, Rogues and Wenches, Rebecca Wolverton, the Midnight Sun Cloggers, Linda Yarborough and many more. Performers will be in the Grant Hall theater, while vendors will be situated in the foyer and hallways leading to classrooms where workshops will be held.
Workshops include topics such as Irish History, Irish Literature, Harp Technique, Ceili Dancing, Singing in Irish for Children and more. Workshops are a separate fee.
Vendors will offer their Celtic inspired art, jewelry and clothing.

Rogues & Wenches headline the Celtic Community's Samhain celebration. This year's theme is seafarers, pirates and voyagers - the Celtic Diaspora. The Rogues and Wenches will performing throughout the evening. There will be the costume contest for all ages, and the old and new year's fire. Dinner will be available for purchase, as will libations. Children's meals will be available.

We'll search the Poulnabrone Dolman and explore the Cliffs of Mohr. We'll travel the Dingle Peninsula, walk the stone structures built 4,000 years ago. We'll cross the River Shannon and explore the hills of Kerry. We'll kiss the Blarney stone and wade in the waters that surround Cobh. We'll marvel at the Rock of Cashel and at the solitary wonder of Glendalough, then through the Wicklow Mountains into Dublin. We'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day as participants in the town's parade.
